PURPLE REIGN

The cast and crew of ME & marty came together to make a short, comedic film for the 2880 Film Blitz film festival, here in Montreal.

We had forty-eight hours to come up with a story, actors, locations and shoot and edit the thing before presenting it to a "packed" audience (ha, ha). Well, the sound was shot, and the presenter talked through the first ten seconds of the film.

So, we're moving on from the small stage and premiering it HERE to the world.

We promise you'll laugh at least once!

Episode 3.3

Marty and Annie reconnect, many years after their days in college. She and Marty use to be good friends...until Annie decided he wasn't bringing anything into her life.

Jimmy catches up with Zoe and crashes her private moment. Zoe makes it clear...Time for Jimmy to get out of her life.

Chloe, the one who found Marty's cell phone in a women's restroom at a club, meets up with some dude named, Tommy. What the hell?

Oh, and Kra-Z heads back home to visit his sick mom.

Episode 3.2

Marty makes his way back home, once again. He has to get through downtown first. Zoe just happens to be in the same neighborhood, recording her thoughts for a future project. And there's Jimmy, being Jimmy.

It becomes a chase of sorts. Marty following Zoe. Jimmy following Marty. And fashion photographer, Annie, gets thrown in the mix when she captures Jimmy's unique look for a side project of her own.

Episode 3.1

Confused? So is Marty. He could have sworn he was sitting at his kitchen table back at his apartment. Now, he's knee deep in grass at the local park. At least, he has his shoes. Strange.

What now? Head back home. Again. Marty needs to get out of the park and through a part of downtown, in order to get back into his neighborhood. And with no money, that means he's walking. Thanks, whoever, for the shoes!

But it's not going to be as easy as putting on sneakers and heading home. And what's that saying about stopping and smelling the roses. For Marty, it's a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or is it all part of his journey...

Episode 2.3

What is Gary up to? Can you really evict a tenant if they change the locks? And why can't Marty remember everything that happened during the week he was missing?

Marty's third and final dream reveals he has awaken a part of himself that won't be going back to sleep anytime soon.

Episode 2.2

Marty hasn't slept in a week. He wakes up curb side at four in the morning, hungover. He makes it home, only to pass out from pure exhaustion. Marty attempts to sleep the day away...

Instead, Gary wants rent in cash. Right now. Some, young woman wants to give him back his phone, that she found in a women's restroom at some club. Zoe wants to talk about what happen that day. And Jimmy, supposedly Marty's best friend, can't help but to kick the poor guy while he's down.

The thing is, Marty ain't having any of it, anymore. He's fragile and feeling the years of frustration uncontrollably lash out. This might just be the new Marty.
